A Bit About Me
I was born in Kent, in the southeast of England, and some of my earliest and most vivid memories are by the sea — walking along the shore with my parents, feeling the salt in the air, the sound of waves, the freedom of open skies. That connection to the ocean has been a thread throughout my life.
After five years as a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force, I moved to New Zealand in my late twenties. These days, I live at Waimairi Beach in Christchurch, working as an air traffic controller while building Wave Wellness — my true passion and purpose.
Like many people, I’ve navigated burnout, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and the quiet pressure to keep everything together. The tools I now share — yoga, Pilates, meditation, self-inquiry — are the ones that helped me find steadiness and strength in those moments.
They’ve lifted me to my peaks and grounded me when I needed it most.
This path has taught me that movement isn’t just physical — it’s transformational. I created Wave Wellness to support others on their journey of rediscovery, resilience, and real joy.

Hi, I'm Lucy - founder of Wave Wellness
Rooted by the sea, inspired by movement, and guided by curiosity and care — Wave Wellness is where I share the practices that have uplifted and transformed me, in the hope they’ll do the same for you.
This is a space for you to breathe, move, and reconnect with your own rhythm. Whether you’re new to the mat or returning to yourself, I’m here to guide you in a way that’s real, compassionate, and quietly powerful.

Why Wave Wellness
I created Wave Wellness as a way to combine what I know with what I love — mindful movement, self-enquiry, and a grounded approach to wellbeing. I believe we all have the capacity to feel better, live more fully, and meet life with strength and softness in equal measure.
To me, wellness isn’t about striving — it’s about showing up. It’s about honouring who you are and where you are, and choosing to grow from that place. My philosophy is shaped by the tides: we rise and fall, we surge and still, and in it all, there’s beauty and balance.
This work is for anyone ready to explore that space — to find their own flow and reconnect with what feels true. At Wave Wellness, all bodies and all levels are welcome. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced to begin. You just need to begin.
