Before you Arrive: Group Class FAQs

Do I need to book in advance? Yes, booking is essential. Because our classes are kept intimate with a maximum of 8 participants, spaces fill up quickly. Booking ahead ensures your spot on the mat and allows me to prepare the space for you. You can book directly through our website or by using the app.

How do I access the app? In the app store or Google Play - search for "Fit by Wix" - when you open the app, join by invite code, use GLOLWZ. The direct invite link is https://www.mobileapp.app/to/OWtv3H3?ref=mam. You'll then be able to book classes and manage your bookings on the app.

What if I have an injury—can I still come? Yes, in most cases you can still join us, provided you have clearance from your medical professional. Because our groups are small, I can offer personalized modifications to keep you safe.

Can I attend if I am pregnant? Please let me know if you are pregnant before booking. While many of our movements can be modified, your safety and the safety of your baby are paramount. We recommend checking with your doctor before starting any new movement practice.

Who can attend? Our classes are designed for adults of all ages. If you are under 18, please get in touch first. Our community ranges from young adults to those enjoying their retirement years.

Do I need to be flexible to join? Not at all! Flexibility is a result of the practice, not a requirement. Whether you can touch your toes or barely reach your knees, we focus on Elongation and meeting your body exactly where it is today.

Movement is a journey, not a race. If you are working with an injury, please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can discuss your needs. We will focus on the Stability and Respiration principles of CREST to ensure you are supported. Always listen to your body’s “shoreline” - if a movement feels sharp, we will find an alternative that honours your recovery.

What types of classes do you offer?

  • Surge & Soar (Power Vinyasa): A dynamic class that rises to lift your energy and centre your mind. The “Power" in this class is focused on unlocking the power of your spirit and to be empowered in the way you move. You will build strength and find freedom in your body, however you turn up on your mat is perfect. All levels welcome.

  • CREST & Core (Mat Pilates): Built on the CREST principles (Core, Respiration, Elongation, Stability, Timing), focusing on moving from your centre with precision and building functional strength. All levels welcome

  • Submerge & Settle (Yin Yoga): A deep, meditative class designed to quiet the noise and anchor your nervous system. Mostly seated, poses are held for between 3-5 minutes. All levels welcome

How do I pay for my classes?

  • Online Booking: Pay securely via credit or debit card through our website when you reserve your spot.

  • Bank Transfer: You are welcome to pay via internet banking. Please contact me for account details; payment should be made prior to the class to confirm your space.

  • Cash: We accept cash payments at the studio. Please bring the correct amount if possible, limited change is available. Contactless card payments are also available.

How do I apply the 50% off my first group class to my booking? Apply coupon code FIRSTCLASS when in the checkout. This code is redeemable only once per person, it is only available for your first ever group class (includes all class types) and your booking must be made online for this deal to apply.

Do I need to bring my own mat? We recommend bringing your own mat for your personal comfort. However, we do have some mats available for use if you are just starting out or happen to forget yours.

I’m a total beginner - which class is best for me? All levels are welcome in all classes—however you show up is perfect.

What should I wear and bring? Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. Bring a water bottle and a small towel. For Submerge & Settle, we suggest bringing socks and a cosy layer, as your body temperature may drop during the long, still holds.

When should I arrive? Please aim to arrive at least 5 minutes before class begins. This gives you time to settle onto your mat, adjust your props, and leave the "noise" of the day at the door before we begin our practice.

Is there a toilet on site? Yes, there are toilet facilities available for you to use before or after class.

What is your cancellation policy? We ask for at least 12 hours' notice if you need to cancel, so we can offer your spot to someone else. We operate a waitlist system.

Do you offer 1-on-1 sessions? Yes! If you’d like to dive deeper into your practice or focus specifically on your needs for your unique body, I offer private “Personal Tide" sessions. Please contact me directly to discuss your goals.

I have more questions...where do I go? Contact us via the "contact" page and we can answer any questions you may have.

Something has come up, I need to cancel, what is your policy? To cancel and reschedule, please contact us at least 12hrs before the class or cancel online. Cancellations within 3 hours from class time are non-refundable. We understand things come up; spaces are limited and this is fair for all. Thanks for you understanding and for supporting this small business.
